CABARRUS COUNTY <br /> <br /> WATER SYSTEM REGULATIONS <br /> <br /> NOVEMBER, 1983 <br /> <br />Section I - Definitions <br /> <br />Owner <br /> <br /> The word "Owner" shall mean the person or persons holding legal <br />title to the serviced premises; but an owner, tenant or tenants <br />leasing, sub-leasing, renting or occupying a piece of property, or <br />agent, may make application for water service subject to the <br />provisions of these rules and regulations. <br />Cross-Connection <br /> <br /> A cross-connection is defined as-a connection from the <br />authorized metered service line of a water user, to the water <br />plumbing system of ah unauthorized user, the purpose of which is to <br />evade the legitimate proceses for obtaining water; also, <br /> <br /> A cross-connection is a connection between a piped dist~ibution <br />system carry~ a potable public water supply and secondary piping <br />system, institutional, private or public, providing a water supply, <br />the source of which, prior to connection, is distinct from and <br />unrelated physically to that of the potable public supply. <br />Development <br /> <br /> A portion of land, including any land from a one-family property <br />to a subdivision, that is being developed to the extent that water <br />service is desirable to realize its full potential. <br />Subdivision <br /> <br /> -1- <br /> <br /> <br />
