Chandler, Jr./Director of Planning'~ <br /> SUBJECT: Community Development Sewer Bids to be Awarded March 1, 1982 <br /> DATE: February 24, 1982 <br /> <br />Sealed bids for the Sidestown/Shankletown Sewer Construction Project were <br />opened Friday, February 19, 1982 at 10:00 A.M. The low bidder was Rand <br />Construction Company, Richfield, North Carolina at $260,300.00. Staff <br />has completed their review with HUD and the Department of Labor. Concord <br />Engineering has reviewed the bid for technical correctness and the North <br />Carolina Department of Transportation has executed the encroachment con- <br />tract. <br /> <br />Staff recormmends that the County Con~issioners award the bid. contingent <br />upon the posting of a 100% performance and payment bond. <br /> <br />Attached is a copy of the minutes of the bid opening with the bid amounts <br />of each of the submitting contractors. <br /> <br />pds <br /> <br /> <br />
