RESOLUTION <br /> <br />~EREAS; Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 <br />as mnended in 1981 (P.L. 93-383), and State Laws establishing State <br />Departments, Institutions and Commissions (G.S. 143-323) and the <br />Executive Organization Act of 1973 (G.S. 143B-276 and 143B-277) <br />authorizes the State of North Carolina to undertake the North Carolina <br />Community Development Block Grant Program and <br /> <br />~EREAS: Subchapter 13L-North Carolina Community Development Block <br />Grant Program, Section .0200-.0202, permits counties to submit applica- <br />tions in behalf of other local governments, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS; an In Behalf Of Application must include a written cooperation <br />agreement describing the purpose and content of the agreement, as well <br />as, the authorization of one of the participating local governments <br />to submit the application to the North Carolina Department of Natural <br />Resources and Community Developmen£, and <br /> <br />~EREAS; the governing body of Cabarrus County has the technical <br />capability and administrative capacity to undertake this project, <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL%~D THAT; the Town Council of the Town of <br />Mount Pleasant, North Caro!ona: and the Board of County Commissioners <br />of Cabarrus County, North Carolina, agree that Cabarrus County submit <br />an in Behalf Of Application for Community Development funds to the <br />North'Carolina Department of Natural Resources and Community Deveiopmenn <br /> <br /> <br />
