Lyons, Chairperson ~ .~ C~,k(/ C.B.A. Task Force RE: Budget Submittal for C.B.A. Expansion Funds DATE: September 15, 1982 The C.B.A. Task Force I~as been notified by the North Carolina Department of Human Services - Youth Division, that there has been an allottment of additional funds awarded to ~abarrus County. These expansion funds amount to $6,884.00. These funds may be used to expand existing programs or to start a new program. At this point in time, we have one request for additional funds for an existing program. The Cabarrus Outdoor Wilderness Adventure Program has requested an additional $4,000.00 to expand programs and purchase equipment. Enclosed you will find a copy of the revised Wilderness Adventure Program Budget request as submitted by Cabarrus County Parks and Recreation Depart- ment, sponsor of said program and signed by the Director, William K. Cowan. This request is for an additional $4,000.00 to add to a previously approved budget of $5,183.00. This will bring the total budget to an amount of $10,408.00. This would be a total of $8,000.00 in C.B.A. Funds and $2,408.00 in Cabarrus County matching funds. This budget request has been approved by the C.B.A. Task Force and is now ready for submittal to the Cabarrus County Beard of Commissioners for their approval. I would like to request that this revision be placed on your agenda of the next meeting of the Cabarrus County Board of Co[mmissioners.
