Emphasis will he on service <br />:~ithin the last year. <br /> <br />JUDGING WILL BE DONE AS FOLLOWS: <br />- a panel of judges will select one county wiener from the nominations from <br /> each of the vo!uetee~ rescue or ambulance services. The panel will consist <br /> of three individuals, two of whom are non involved with ~S and one who has <br /> a non administrative function within the ~S system. <br /> <br />~EN AND WHERE WILL TILE AW=~RDS BE GIVEN? <br />The eight winners will be notified in March, 1983 of their selection which <br />will be presented d~ring ~.IS Week which is held during the last week of April, <br />in Charlotte. The Location, day and time will be announced~ <br /> <br />The winners will receive a letter of Recognition signed by the Chair~mn of <br />the County Commission and a plaque honoring their achievements in ~.~S from <br />~he Region F Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council <br /> <br />IN ADDITION . . . <br />The namesof the eight winners will be forwarded to the "9-I.~o Care" awards, co- <br />sponsored by WSOC-TV and the Voluntary Action Center of Union/Mecklenburg Counties, <br />for their consideration. This is an areawide award recognmzing the volunteers <br />who participate in community se~ices work. <br /> <br />The "~-Who Care" awards are presented in Charlotte in September. The winners <br />and the runner-ups and their families are invited to a luncheon, where the <br />"~-Who Care" awards winners are announced. <br /> <br />ALSO: <br />The names of the eight winners will be forwarded no the North Carolina Office <br />of Citizens A~fairs for consideration for the Governor's Volunteer Award. Each <br />year Governor Hunt presents the Governors Volunteer A~,:ard to outstanding volunteers <br />from each county in recognition of their service in North Carolina. The awards <br />are presented ~o winners By the Governor at a Recognition Ceremony in September. <br /> <br /> <br />
