CABARRUS MEMORIAL HOSPITAL
920 CHURCH STREET. N
CONCORD. NORTH CAROLIN/', 28025

JCHN C. I?OWLES, JR TELEPHONE [704) 788-21
~.ss,s~^.~o,R~c~o. April 9. 1981

Mr. Charles D. McGinnis
Cabarrus County Manager
P. O. Box 707
Concord, [Iorth Carolina 28025

Dear Mr. McGinnis:

This letter is a follow-up to our telephone conversation
yesterday regarding the bill for the security services for the
quarter ending l~arch 31, 1981.

It is our understanding from analyzing the Security Services
Agreement, that the security unit at the hospital was to be composed
of four deputies and one lieutenant. The hospital would pay for
three senior patrolmen and one lieutenant and the County would
continue to pay for an additional patrolman as in the past.

in looking at the bill of April ], 1981, we believe the
bill errs in charging us for the services of a patrolman which
we did not receive. The patrolman has not beer on duty hero
~ince January 22 to the present time.

We respectfully request that you roduce the bill by an
amount equal to the salary and benefits of a senior patrolman
for January 23 through March 31, 1981.

Thank you for your attention to this request.
Sincerely yours,

John C. Bowles, Jr.
Assistant Director
JCBJr:sb
