Griffith and Associates, Ltd. <br /> -- suI~ant") and the County of .Ca~arr~ls ' ' <br /> {hereinafter called the '~on -- ' ~HAT: <br />State of North Carolina {hereinafter called the "County"), WITNESSETH <br /> WHEREAS, the Count9 has programs which it operates with Federal <br />funding, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Countg supports these programs with support ser- <br /> vices paid from Countg appropriated funds, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Federal government ~d the state will pay a fair <br />share of these costs if supported by an approved cost allocation pla~, and <br /> WHER~3~S, the Consultant is staffed with personnel R~owledge- <br /> able and experienced iD the requirements of developing and negotiating <br />;such goverru~ental cost allocation plans,.and <br /> WHERE-S, the Cou~t~ desires to engage the consultant to assist <br /> in developing a plan which conforms to Federa] requirements and will be <br /> approved by their representatives <br /> NOW THEREFORE, the parties hereto mutually agree as follows: <br /> 1. Emuloument Df Consultant. The Countg agrees to engage the Consul- <br /> tant and the Consultant hereby agrees to perform the following services. <br /> 2. $co.~ of Services. The Consultant shall do, perform and carry <br /> out iD a good and professional manner the following services: <br /> <br /> A. Development of a central service~ cost allocation plan which <br /> identifies the various costs incurred by the.County to support <br /> and administer Federal programs. This plan will contain a de- <br /> termination of the .allowable costs of providing each supporting <br /> service such as purchasing, legal counsel, disbursement pro- <br /> cessiDg , etc. <br /> <br /> B. Negotiation of the completed cost allocation plan with the <br /> representatives of the state or the Federh2 government, which- <br /> ever is.applicable. <br /> <br /> C.Assistance iD pr'eparing the initial claims for recover~ of <br /> funds due the Countg. <br /> <br /> D. Prepare indirect cost proposal for Social Services and CETA. <br /> Additionally, prepare indirect cost rated for EPA and HUD if <br /> <br /> <br />
