BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF <br /> CABARRUS COUNTY: <br /> <br /> Thai under the authority of Section 153A-153 of tile General <br />Staiutes of North Carolina, there is hereby levied an annual license <br />tax oa the p~'ivilege of keeping dogs in Cabarrus County in the amount <br />of Five Dollars ($5.00). <br /> <br /> Application for licenses shall be made during the month of <br />January of each year to the Tax Supervisor's Office. If a dog is <br />acquired after January 31 lhe applicalion shall be made lo the Tax <br />Supe~'visor's Office %vithin thirty (30) days after the dog is acquired. <br /> <br /> If a pe~,son or ke~mel owns more than five (5) dogs, the total <br />annual license t~x shall be Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00). <br /> <br /> The license fee shall be billed on the annual tax bill and shall <br />be payable at the lime for paying ta~es to the Taxx Collecior, except thai <br />a person applying for a license after January 31 shall pay the fee al the <br />time of application. <br /> <br />Licenses shall be issued for one (1) year beginning July 1, <br />If the license tag is losl a duplicate may be oblaiaed for T%vo <br />Dollars ($2.00). If the o%vnership is changed the license may be frans- <br />ferred for T%vo Dollars .($2.00), <br /> <br />\Vhen the owner complies iv[th tile foregoing provisions of this <br />ordinance, he shall be issued a numbered metallic tag, stamped %vith the <br /> <br /> <br />
