FACT SHEET <br /> <br /> ROAD UNDER CONSIDERATION: SR# 1856; Hardwood Lane <br /> <br /> This unpaved road is located in township <br /> four (4) in the Spring Valley Mobile Home <br /> Subdivision off Barr Road. <br /> <br />1. The petition was formally validated on May 11, 1981. <br /> <br /> (a) The number of property owners affected 27 <br /> <br /> (b) The number of property owners participating 23 or 85.1% <br /> <br /> Footage to be paved 4,360 ft. total of both sides or the road or 2,180 linear feet.(State Measure) <br /> (a) Footage represented by owner participation 3,640.30 ft.or 83.4 <br /> (b) Footage unsigned for and to be assessed 719.70 ft. <br /> <br />3, Total amount of funds to be advanced to the state for project $8,720.00 <br /> <br /> (a) Amount to be collected from property owners $7,280.60 <br /> <br /> (b) Amount to be contributed by Cabarrus County $1,439.40 <br /> (To be repaid to the County by tax assess- <br /> ment to those non-participating property <br /> owners over a five (5) year period at <br /> 12% per annum) <br /> <br />4. The first public hearing was set by the Board of Commissioners to <br /> be held on June 15, 1981 at 7:30 P,M. At that time the Board will <br /> review the facts relating to this road paving request and determine <br /> if the County will participate financially. <br /> <br /> If approved by the Board, then a second public hearing will be need <br /> to be scheduled in thirty (30) days on the preliminary assessment <br /> roll and the map. <br /> <br />5. The second public hearing was set by the Board of Commissioners to <br /> be held on July 7, 1981 at 10:00 A.M. At that time the Board will <br /> determine finally if the County will participate in this paving re- <br /> quest. If approved, the assessment scroll will be forwarded to the <br /> Tax Collector for further processing. Also, In order to be approved <br /> the residents must have presented a check to the County in the amount <br /> of 67,280.60 for their share of the paving. This check along with a <br /> check drawn on the County in the amount of $1,439.40 and a copy of the <br /> final resolution will be sent to Mr. T. L. Patterson, District Engineer; <br /> North Carolina Department of Transportation in Albemarle. <br /> <br /> <br />
