Minutes of Previous Meetin~ <br /> <br />3. Rocky River Regional Wastewater System Items of Business <br /> A. Update of Ozone System <br /> <br /> Three representatives from Union Carbide have been on <br /> site to check on Ozone Generator problems and have made <br /> some changes in operational procedures. Parti'~les of <br /> iron have contaminated gas - all possible sources checked <br /> out~ It is believed problem eliminated. <br /> <br /> Spare parts have finally been inventoried <br /> <br /> We have successfully maintained a good effluent sznce <br /> last meeting. <br /> <br /> B. F-1 Furnace Start-up <br /> <br /> Good progress in checking all operational apparatus <br /> on furnace and reached the point of low-firing. Problem <br /> arose when sludge conveyed to furnace. The lump breaker <br /> did not function properly. Jacobson Machine Company <br /> is forwarding a larger motor and gearbox, according <br /> to Paul Cardinal. Upon arrival and installation, we <br /> should be ready for heat-up operation. <br /> <br /> C. Meeting With State Officials <br /> <br /> Representatives of the Rocky River Steering Committee <br /> met with State DEM Representatives on Jtlly 16th regarding <br /> the recission of Federal funds and in an effort to deter- <br /> mine the status of the Three-Mile Branch, Rocky River- <br /> Harrisburg~ and Adams Creek - Prison Camp Interceptors. <br /> All three interceptors are projected for Step III funding <br /> in 1981 and 1982, however, Federal EPA funds are non- <br /> existent at the present. A complete status report has <br /> been prepared and distributed to all interested parties. <br /> <br /> <br />
