Copy of a Resolution Passed by the <br /> <br /> Board of Cot~aissioners of <br /> <br /> County, North Carolina <br /> <br /> The following resolution was offered by and <br /> a motion was made by that it be adopted, this - <br /> motion was seconded by . . and upon being put to a <br /> <br /> vote, was carried; <br /> <br /> Whereas, ti~e North Carolina Governor's ~ighway Safety Program, hereinafter <br /> referred to as GHSP, proposes to implement a progra~l to assist <br /> <br />County, hereinafter, referred to '~s the County, in protecting their young <br />children against death and serious injury in automobile accidents, GHSP will <br /> <br /> provide the County with a supply of crash-tested automObile child restraint _. <br /> <br />devices (CRD's), provide for the initial training of personnel who ~gill <br />implement tile program to learn how to properly install and properly use the <br /> <br />CRD's provided, provide all forms necessary for operating and keeping records of <br />the opei-ation of the program, provide materials developed for GItSP designed ~o <br />e~luc'ate pareuts ab'out using CRD's, provide technical advice 'and general <br />supervisiou to Coonty personnel; PP, OVIDED, the County agrees to provide manpower <br />or to desigoate a local group or agency, , <br />~.lho ~.~i11 pro,:ide the manpower to coordinate, publicize, and operate the <br />distribution o1' CRD's within the County for a period of not less than t~.lo (2) <br /> <br />years, to obtain additional crash-tested CRD's and to use ~hem in this <br /> <br />program, t(~ in.~;ure LhaL every parent ~.lho is loaned a CRD is given appropriate' <br />insLrucL'ion as to how to use the CI(D properly, to provide training for all <br />pe~snns invOlv~,:l 'in the loaner prugram who are no~ !oiL!ally trained by GIISP, to <br /> <br /> ! <br /> <br /> <br />
