We are aware of this need and <br /> have had many discussions with appropriate officials con- <br /> cerning this need. This road is part o£ the State Second- <br /> ary Road System and the only funding available is the <br /> Secondary Construction Fund Allocation for use.in each <br /> county in the State. It.has been estimated that it would <br /> take ted (10) years of Cabarrus County's Secondary Road Con- <br /> struction Allocation to do the needed widening on this road. <br /> We have been pursuing other areas for possible funds and <br /> have not yet been successfut~ but will continue efforts <br /> toward this need. <br /> <br /> We appreciate your interest and concern. <br /> <br /> Yqurs very truly~ <br /> <br /> DAVID B.
