Section XI. Responsibilities of Owne~ and Occupants. <br /> <br /> (a) P~blic Areas_ Every o~er of a dwelling containing <br /> two~2~ or more dwelling units shall be responsible <br /> for maintaining in a clean and sanitary condition the <br /> shared or public areas of the dwelling and premises <br /> thereof. <br /> <br /> (b) Cleanliness. Every occupant of a dwelling or dwelling <br /> unit sha~keep in a clean and sanitary condition that <br /> part of the dwelling~ dwelling unit and premises thereof <br /> ~£nich he occupies and controls. <br /> <br /> (c) Rubbish and ~arba_~. Every occupant of a dwelling or <br /> dwelling unit ~hall dispose of all his rubbish and gar- <br /> bage in a clean and sanitary ~anner by placing it in <br /> the supplied storage facilities. In all cases, the <br /> owner shall be responsible for the availability of <br /> rubbish and garbage storage facilities. <br /> <br /> (d) Supplied Plumbing Fixtures. Every occupant of a dwell- <br /> ing unit shall keep all s~pplied plumbing fixtures there- <br /> zn in a clean and ~anitary condition and shall be respon- <br /> sible for the exercise of reasonable care in the proper <br /> use and operation of same. <br /> <br /> (e) Care of Facilities, Equipment and Structure. No occupant <br /> shall willfully destroy, deface, or immair any of the <br /> facilities or equipment, or any part of the structure <br /> of a dwelling or dwelling unit. Willful destruction of <br /> the premises by the occupant shall be deemed le~J% grounds <br /> for eviction. <br /> <br />Section XII Powers and Duties of The Housin~ Inspector. <br /> The Director of the Department is here- <br />by designated as the Housing Inspector, the officer to enforce the <br />orovisions of this ordinance and to exercise the duties and powers <br />herein prescribed. The Housing Inspector shall have the following <br />powers and duties: <br /> <br /> (1) To investigate the conditions, and to inspect dwellings <br /> and dwelling units located in the County, in order to <br /> determine which dwellings and dwelling units are unfit, <br /> for human habitation, and for the purpose of carrying <br /> out the objectives of this ordinance with respecn to <br /> such dwellings and dwelling units; <br /> <br /> (2) To ~ake such action, together with other appropriat~ <br /> departments and agencies, public and private, as may <br /> be necessary no effect rehabilitation of housing which <br /> is deteriorated; <br /> <br /> -il- <br /> <br /> <br />
