Section 4o It shall be the duty of the ComisSion to study <br /> <br /> problems in the County and City pertaining to relationships ~mong indi- <br /> viduals and groups of all kinds, and to make reco~endations to the <br /> Coa~issioners and Aldermen for the betterment of such relationships within <br /> the ~omunity~ In performing its functions, the Cou~iasion shall invite <br /> and enlist the coopcration of all racial end ethnic groups, aa well as <br /> persons representing various econo~ic, educational, and social groups <br /> in all areas of the'County and City~ ~nd shall act as a coordinatin~_~gency_ <br /> ~ong these and other groups in the community in the establishment and <br /> ~sintenance of educational programs in the community designed to bring <br /> about better human relations, <br /> <br /> ~ctton 2, The ~eneral purposes of the Cabarrus County Community <br />Relations Co~ission shall be: <br /> <br /> (~) To promote mutual understanding and respect among all <br /> <br />racial and ethnic groups, among persons of all economic and educational <br />status, and generally throughout the entire community so as to' prevent <br />discriminatory practices. <br /> <br /> (b) To disseminate information which will assist in the elimi- <br />nation of prejudice, intolerance, tensions, and' discrimination, and which <br />will promote good~lll among the community as a whole. <br /> <br /> ' <br /> (¢) ?o lecelve complaints and to investigate and study co~plalnts, <br /> <br />problems, and specific situs:ions arising between'groups or individuals ..... <br />~hich result or may result in tensions, discrimination, or prejudice <br />within the County. <br /> <br /> <br />
