The most significant item to report in this progress statement is the
grant of a "petition for special relief" by the Federal C0~nt,]ications
Ce~mission. 'Ibis grant, which was petitioned early in 1979 af£ords
Vision Cable of Met~olina special *~lief fr~n Section 76.6] of the
Co~mission signal carriage restrictions and allows our CATV system
To carry the sigr~ls of W~MY-'i%; cbam]nel 2, Greensboro, N.C. , WG}{P-TV,
channel 8, Hi~] Point, N.C. and WXlI, channel 12, Winston-Salem, N.C. in
Concord and CabarD3s County, N.C. Without this grant subscribers to
our system in Concord and Cabarrus County would have been denied these
stations due to prior FCC rule making.

In early January we expect submission of~ a pole attachment ago'cement by
Cannon Mills Company to enable us to attach o%u- cable to poles owned by
that Company in various parts of our service area. fu% attachment agree-
ment with the Town of [~ndis, for use o£ their power poles should also
be forthcc~ning. Additional pole agreements will be executed with Duke
Power Company and Southern Bell Telephone for other areas in Rowan County.

I am pleased to submit this final progress report for the year 1979.
1980 shall not only be a year of progress £o~~ us, but also one of ex-
citment as the citizens of this area experience the "Vision Advantage'"
