January 28, 1980

Mr. Charles McGinnis
Cabarrus County Manager
P.O. Box 707
Concord, North Carolina 28025

Dear blr. McGinnis,

Some time ago we spoke briefly regarding the disposition of the property,
owned by the County which lies directly beside our office on McCachern
Blvd.

At the time, ~$ I recall, there waa no firm plan for its use. If this
remains the case, we would be very interested in discussing its acquisi-
tion. If you have noticed the vast amount of cable and hardware in our
parking compound you will see that there is definitely a need co expand
that facility. The County owned lot beside us would be ideal, not only
for parking, but it would also allow the addition o£ a drive-in payment
window at our office.

On tbe enclosed plat, you will also note a small parcel (19.41' x 49.50')
of County land which is surrounded by Vision Cable and Concord Telephone
Compaoy property. It appears to be of little use in its present con-
figuration and we would be willing to consider its purchase as well.

If we Can arrange to acquire the property shown as "A" we would then
offer the property across the Boulevard for sale.

I would appreciate an indication of interest from the Board of
Commissioners on this inquiry.

Thanks, and do come by our new office when you have the opportunity.

Sincerely, ~ ..
q4 R , ·
General Manager

RM/sl
Encl.

52 McCACHERN BLVD. · P.O.
