Box 707 <br /> Concord, North Carolina <br /> <br /> Dear Charles: <br /> <br /> The Cabarrus County Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission meeting in <br /> regular session om April 22, 1980, approved a joint Rowan-Cabarrus Re- <br /> gional Park Concept. Basically, the Concept recommends the joint con- <br /> struction and operation of a major Park in the North Cabarrus, South <br /> Rowan areas. Approval of this Concept by the Cabarrus County Board of <br /> Commissioners will authorize the Park.and.[ec~.~t_~on Advisory_ Commissio_~_n <br /> to pursue a~d_prepa~e_a_detaJ.l.ed_plan in cooperation withth~oa~ <br /> County Parks and Rec~_eA~lo.n__CgII~l]_ss]~n, to Be presentea-~-6-~oth County <br /> Boar2~f-~ommissioners upon it's completion. <br /> <br /> Advisory Commission Chairmam, M. L. Barnes, appointed Scott Trott to <br /> represent the Board at the next regular meeting of the County Commissioners. <br /> and forward this recommendation for endorsement and approval. Barnhardtand Sc~t_t_~ott_as~t.E~r official representatives te <br />~)~,~.~ 4~ ~i'~~y officials in this matter. --- -- <br /> <br /> As a matter of record, the Rowan County Parks and Recreation commission <br /> approved this Concept in their regular monthly meeting on April 15, 1980. <br /> They plan to [orward their recommendation to the Rowan Board of County <br /> Commissioners on May 12, 1980. <br /> <br /> If possible, Mr. Trott would desire to present this unique Park Development <br /> Concept to the Board of Commissioners at approximately 7:00 P.M. <br /> <br /> Finally, I would like to remind you to provide each Commissioner with a <br /> copy of our Department's Capital Outlay Budget and plan for fiscal year <br /> lgSO-81. Commissioner Lentz has a copy because he attended the last meet- <br /> ing of the Advisory Co~nission as a copy was distributed to each Advisory <br /> Board member and Mr. Lentz.
