CABARRUS COUNTY
~ ,~'7¢~.~,j'~-)//?~ CONCORD. NORTH CAROLINA 28025

April 11, 1980

TO: Charles D. McGinnis

FROM: Mike Hunsuck ~
SUBJECT: March Status Report

The following is a monthly report for the various CETA Programs that operate
in the county:

CETA (PSE)

ENROLLMENT: (As of March 31, 1980)

Number of people enrolled in Title II-D 21

Number of people enrolled in Title VI 6

Number of people enrolled in Project VI 9

CO}~ENTS:

This office was contacted in mid-March by DCE in Raleigh and were asked
to have all of our open positions filled by the end of the month or else we
could possibly loose some of our funding. As of March 31, 1980, all of our
open positions were filled. Since our funding for Title VI was drastically
cut for this year, there is a very good possibility that two (2) of the six (6)
enrolled in the program may have to be laid off. The two that I have in mind
are maintenance positions, one at Kannapolis City Schools, and one at Concord
City Schools. If these two had to be laid off, it would be at the end of the
current school year. I will knowmore after reviewing the expenditures for the
month of April, and I will have a definite recommendation by the first of May.
