McGinnis, County Manager ~~ <br />SUBJECT: BLUE CROSS BLUE SHIELD HOSPITAL INSURANCE <br /> <br />Our present Blue Cross Blue Shield hospitalization contract <br />policy provides for a $50.00 deductible for all in-hospital <br />admissions for all employees. Effective..July 1, 1980, our <br />new BCBS hospital rates will be as follows: <br /> <br /> INDIVIDUAL PARENT/CHILD FAMILY <br /> <br />Old Rates 27.66 53.73 75.55 <br /> <br />New Rates 40.91 80.23 112.65 <br /> <br />However, our BCBS representative has recommended changing our <br />group policy to a 20% deductible, increasing our Major Medical <br />to $250,000.00 calendar year from a $25,000.00 life time maxi- <br />mum, and instating coordination of benefits with the expectations <br />of reducing our cost after this fiscal year. <br /> <br />The new rates for this coverage are Individual: $37.81; Parent/ <br />Child: $72.82; and Family: $ 104.21. <br /> <br /> <br />
