PETITION FOR THE EXTENSION OF THE <br /> BOUNDARIES OF THE KANNAPOLIS SANITARY DISTRICT <br /> <br /> TO the Board of Commissioners of the Kannapolis Sanitary <br />District~ <br /> We, the undersigned, owners of all of the land described <br />hereinbelow, respectfully petition that all necessary action <br />required by Article 12 of Chapter 130 of the General Statutes of <br />North Carolina for the extension of the boundaries of the <br />Kannapolis Sanitary District in Cabarrus and Rowan Counties be <br />taken so as to annex said land and include the same within the <br />boundaries of the said Kannapolis Sanitary District ~nder the <br />authority of said Article 12 of Chapter 130 of the General <br />Statutes of North Carolina. <br /> The purpose of this petition is the annexation of the land <br />or territory described below to said Kannapolis Sanitary District <br />so that said district will include said territory within its <br />boundaries and so that water and sewerage facilities and other <br />utilities and services which said district is authorized to <br />progide may be provided in said territory for the preservatio~ <br />and promotion of the public health and sanitary welfare therein. <br /> ~he petitioners understand that all costs of connection to <br /> the existing l~nes of the district and legal expenses and costs <br /> of annexation will be at their expense and irk' accordance with the <br /> provisions of the district's rules, regulations and policies. <br /> The petitioners further understand that following annexation of <br /> the territory, the lines installed will become the property.of <br /> the Kannapolis Sanitary District and the district will service <br /> and maintain said lines. <br /> The boundaries of the territory petitioned to be annexed to <br /> and included in the Kannapolis sanitary District are as follows: <br /> BEGINNING at a stake in the western edge of Kansas <br /> Avenue, a corner of the Kannapolis Sanitary District <br /> boundary line (Lynn Dagenhart annexation), this <br /> beginning point lying North 4-30 West 148 feet from <br /> the northwestern corner of the intersection of Dakota <br /> Street and Kansas Avenue; and runs thence along the <br /> boundary lines of the Kannapolis Sanitary District: <br /> 1st. South 88-25 West 81.7 feet, and 2nd. South 13-25 <br /> West 90 feet, more or less, to a point in the center <br /> line of Three Mile Branch; thence continuing with the <br /> center line of Three Mile Branch and the boundary line <br /> of the Kannapclis Sanitary District as it runs in a <br /> northerly direction for a distance of 875 feet, more <br /> or less, to a point in said branch, which point is in <br /> the line of Jim Widenhouse and lines North 85-54-47 <br /> East 9.5 feet from a stake on the west bank of the <br /> branch; thence North 85-54-47 East 1205.46 feet with <br /> the old southern line of John L. Eddleman to an iron <br /> stake, a corner with Eddleman in the eastern edge of <br /> Carolina Drive; thence with the eastern edge of <br /> Carolina Drive, South 5-23-54 East 288 feet, more or <br /> less, (passing a corner of the Royal Oaks Sanitary <br /> District boundary line at 204 feet, more or less) to <br /> a oint in the eastern edge of Carolina Avenue, a <br /> co~ner of the Royal Oaks Sanitary District; thence with <br /> <br /> <br />
