CABARRUS COUNTY <br /> <br /> A-95 Activities 4 , <br /> % ~isned_Off <br />Pro~e~ts <br /> <br />COG #80-10~ Concord Ring Dike <br /> Purchasin8 Activities <br /> <br />- }~t with county purchasing agent to discuss regional purchasing and to generate <br /> ideas for future purchases. <br /> <br /> Public Safety Activities <br /> <br />- Attended EMS Policy-Makers Workshop. <br /> <br />- Wrote an adjustment for Cabarrus County's Temporary Shelter Care pro3ect <br /> funded through JJDP/LEAA. klso assisted in resolving programmatic problems <br /> with regard to the reimbursement procedure for the grant. <br /> <br />- Held grant award conference for Concord's Police/School Liaison project <br /> funded through LEAA. <br /> <br />- Talked with Captain George Smith about the possible development of a policy <br /> and procedures manual for the Concord Police Department. A sample copy of <br /> previously prepared manual was provided to him for review. <br /> <br />- Completed and delivered the Law Enforcement Heeds Assessment Study for <br /> Harrisburg co the Town Clerk. She will distribute them to the Town Board <br /> for review. <br /> <br /> Human Services Activitie~ <br /> <br />Manpower <br /> <br />- Manpower planners completed the annual CETA plan, and meg with county program <br /> operators to review the allocation of funds between the different types of <br /> CETA program. <br /> <br /> Cabarrus County's allocations are: <br /> <br /> Individual Referral $53,312 Adult Basic Education -0- <br /> On-the 3ob Training 59,552 Adult Work Experience 49,114 <br /> Work Experience 33,324 In School W.E. 108,010 <br /> Orientation & Motivation 23,000 Services to Participauts 17,525 <br /> S%mxaer Youth' Employm6nt Program $174,349 <br /> <br /> Operators will submit proposals in June to operate for FFY 81. <br /> <br />Aging <br /> <br />- The aging staff met with the county aging advisory committee to set the <br /> priorities for the County's aging plan for FEY 81. The highest priorities <br /> included: <br /> <br /> Information and Referral <br /> Transportation <br /> Homemaker <br /> Nutrition <br /> <br /> Operators in the.county will be asked to submit proposals in response to <br /> these priorities in June. <br /> <br /> <br />
