PETITION FOR THE EXTENSION OF THE <br /> BOUNDARIES OF THE KANNAPOLIS SANITARY DISTRICT <br /> <br /> TO the Board of Commissioners of the Kannapolis Sanitary <br />District: <br /> <br /> We, the undersigned, owners of all of the land' described <br />hereinbelow, respectfully petition that all necessary action <br />required by Article 12 of Chapter 130 of the General Statutes of <br />North Carolina for the extension of the boundaries of the <br />Kannapolis Sanitary District in Cabarrus and Rowan Counties be <br />taken so as to annex said land and include the same within the <br />boundaries of the said Kannapolis Sanitary DistriCt under the <br />authority of said Article 12 of. Chapter 130 of the General <br />Statutes of North Carolina. <br /> <br /> The purpose of this petition is the annexation of the land <br />or territory described below to said ~annapolis Sanitary District <br />so that said district will include said territory within its <br />boundaries and so that water and sewerage facilities and other <br />utilities and services which said district is authorized to <br />provide may be provided in said territory for the preservation <br />and promotion of the public health and sanitary welfare therein. <br /> <br /> The petitioners understand that all costs of connection to <br />the ~xisting lines of the district and legal expenses and costs <br />of annexation will be at their expense and in accordance with the <br />provisions of the district's rules, regulations and policies. <br />The petitioners further understand that following annexation of <br />the territory, the lines installed will become the property of <br />the Kannapolis Sanitary District and the district will service <br />and maintain said lines. <br /> <br /> The petitioners further understand that the present <br />connection to the Kannapolis Sanitary District will De via a <br />four-inch line which runs across Lot No. 8 of the Cripple Creek <br />Subdivision and connects with the Kannapolis Sanitary District <br />lines on Daybreak Ridge, and that service will be provided to the <br />rear of the property of the petitioners and that they will be <br />expected to execute easements to the Kannapolis Sanitary District <br />for the lines and for the right to enter on their property for <br />the purpose of maintaining the lines and reading water meters. <br /> <br /> The boundaries of the territory petitioned to be annexed to <br />and included in the Kannapolis Sanitary District are as follows: <br /> <br /> BEGINNING at a point in the boundary line of the <br /> Kannapolis Sanitary District, this beginning point <br /> being the corner of the Kannapolis Sanitary District <br /> boundary line in the line of the Cabarrus Shrine Club <br /> which point is also the northwestern rear corher of the <br /> William Sweatt lot, and runs thence along the line of <br /> .the Cabarrus Shrine Club, South 71-53-30 East 152 feet <br /> to a point in the western edge of Oakwood Avenue; thence <br /> along the edge of Oakwood Avenue as it runs 'in a <br /> southerly~direction for a distance of 345~4 feet, more <br /> or less, to a ~oint in ~he edge of said Avenue, the <br /> front corner of Lots Nos. 18~and 19 of the Ao C. Grant <br /> Property; thence along the dividing line of Lots Nos. <br /> 18 and 19 of the A. C. Grant subdivision, North 75-04-40 <br /> <br /> <br />
