CABAP~RUS COUNTY <br /> A-95 Activities '' '~ <br />Projects Received <br />LEAA #80-31 Temporary She~ter Care <br />Projects Sisned-Off <br /> <br />SCH #80-1802 Home Start <br />COG #80-135 Crestview <br /> <br /> Legislative end-Grants Activities <br /> <br />- Continued working with Harrisburg on park grant application. <br /> <br /> Local Planning Activities <br /> <br />- Met with Planning and Zoning Board to explain Centralina's Planning services. <br /> <br /> Public Safety Activities <br /> <br />- Discussed the possibility of assisting Concord in.developing a Policy and Pro- <br /> cedures Manual with Captain George Smith. <br /> <br />v Purchased equipment under 1979-1980 Project Grann, including: <br /> <br /> (a) Completion of Conaway Coach contract, except for holding training <br /> programs on maintenance. <br /> (b) Issuing P.O.'s for Trainex filmMtrip, ACT Foundation videotapes. <br /> (c) Completing Harrisburg Rescue position of grant. <br /> (d) Assisting Cabarrus with radio purchase. <br /> (e) Completing contract with Gascon College fo~ loan equipment. <br /> <br /> Hnman Services Activities <br /> <br />- During late June and early July the human services staff has been working on <br /> submitting annual plans and preparing the annual COG work program for Aging, <br /> Menpower, and Title XX. As a result, staff has spent very little ti~e working <br /> in individual counties. During ~uly and August ~the staff will be doing third <br /> quarter (federal fiscal year) monitoring and assessment of the Aging and Manpower <br /> programs. Results of these visits will be provided no county managers. <br /> <br /> It is likely that some last minute budget revisions will be necessary, especially <br /> in some county aging programs, to.balance budgets by year end (September 30). <br /> <br /> <br />
