Chandler, Jr./Director of Planning'~ <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Report of the North Carolina Department of <br /> Transportation to correct mapping effecting 'the <br /> abandonment of a small portion of Jennie Linn Drive <br /> in Kannapolis <br /> <br />DATE: August 27, 1980 <br /> <br />Approximately one-hundred twenty feet (i20') of unpaved section <br />of Jennie Linn Drive has never been,maintained by the North <br />Carolina Department of Transportation. Two (2) houses face <br />Wright Avenue and have side yard frontage on Jennie Linn Drive. <br />A third (3rd) house gains total access by this roadway. The <br />State's abandonment of this roadway is a bookeeping-mapping <br />exercise and , in my opinion, would effect no change to the <br />property owners. The street is, and will continue to be, a <br />public right-of-way. It is not being maintained by the North <br />Carolina Department of Transportation nor is it elligible for <br />maintenance. <br /> <br />The Planning Department recommends abandonment in accord with <br />the North Carolina Department of Transportation's request. <br /> <br />pds <br /> <br />cc: Mr. T.
