We plan to have one of our participants here in the office to cover both offices while we are at the meeting. Pat Locktear, our Training Counselor, has stated that she will be leaving the middle of October. I plan to choose a replacement in the next couple of weeks. Holly Harris, a field representative from DCE in Raleigh, monitored our program on August 19th & 20th. We received a report of her findings on August 30th. There were no problem areas, and according to her report, "Your program seems to be functioning well and at an acceptable level.". YOUT~ORK PAYROLL: Number of participants receiving checks in August 141 Amount of August payroll* $58,571.76 Number of administrative personnel (as of 8/29/80) 4 full-time Amount of administrative costs** $ 4,675.11 The average cost per participant to administrate the program $ 33.16 COb~IENTS: There were 3 part-time workers employed for the Summer Program: Christine Barrier filled an open secretarial position on August 1st, Anna Bonds left on August 8th, and Pat Hough ].eft on the 22nd. The Summer Program officially ends on September 30th, but the majority of participants have returned to school. There are currently 2 people enrolled through the end of September, the rest were terminated when school opened. The program served a total of 147 participants this summer. There are 65 participants in an early start up program whicb will end September 30th. The Drop Out program has 6 participants enrolled through the end of the month. Joe Mingo has applied for an In-School program to begin October 1, !980 - September 30, 1981, with a total enrollment of 61, and a Drop Out program with 8 participants.
