Box 707 <br /> Concord, North Carolina 28025 <br /> <br /> Dear Mr. McGinnis: <br /> <br /> I am pleased to inform you that on October 10, 1980 the North Carolina <br /> Board of Transoortation accepted the recommendation of the Public <br /> Transportation Adviso~ Council and adopted a program of rural and small <br /> urban planning projects to be funded during FY 1981 under Section 18 of <br /> the Urban Mass Transportation Act. The proposed planning project submitted <br /> by Cabarrus Coun~ was included in outFiEld1981 planning program. <br /> You are hereby awarded a total~:~.2~l~0.5¢¢or your planning project. <br /> This represents a commitment o~$18~79'94.50 in Section 18 funds and <br /> $2,110.50 in local matching fqhds. <br /> Congress has only recently pa~ed the FY 1981 appropriation for Section 18. <br /> We anticipate that these funds\will not be available for obligation for <br /> another thirty to forD-five dac/s. We promise to act as quickly as <br /> possible in forwarding contract~ for the project upon rece}v~ng North <br /> Carolina's apportionment of Section 18 funds. <br /> <br /> If you have any questions conce~-~ing your grant, please contact me or <br /> Rich Garri~ in our Public Transpgrtation Division (919/733-4713).
