<br /> district health department.
<br /> Ib~ Where a county furnishes public heahh services by oi~erating a comely
<br /> health department, the policy-making body for the termly health department
<br /> shall be a county board of health con\posed of nine members appoieted by the
<br /> board of county commissioners, open coosuhation with tho local health
<br /> director.
<br /> (c) The county hoard of health shall include: one licensed physician, one
<br /> icensed dentist, one licensed pharmacist, one county eom.mis, sioner,, and fly}
<br /> persons appointed from the general public. County commissioners terms o
<br /> office as members of county boards of health shall be concurrent with their
<br /> terms of office as county commissioners. Whee the county .eommt?toner
<br /> member of the board of health ceases to be a county comm~sstoner mr any
<br /> reason, his appointment as a member of the board of health shall also cease,
<br /> the board of county commissioners during the r next meeting shall appoint
<br /> another commissioner to the board oi' health. In the event there ts not a licensed

<br /> pharmacist therein will serve on the board, then an additional rr ember from the
<br /> genera .public shall be appointed; but f a licensed physician, dentist or

<br /> board in place of such member from the general public. All vacancies in the
<br /> county board of health occurring from any cause shall be filled by appointment
<br /> of the county board of eommisstoners, an~ the person appointed shall serve for
<br /> the unexpired portion of 'the term. .
<br /> (dl The composition of thd local bbard shall reasonably reflect the popelation
<br /> makeup of the entire county.
<br /> (e) Me{nbers of county boards of health shall serve three-year terms, but no
<br /> to establish a unit'orm staggered-term structure for a county board of health
<br /> whereby three members' terms will expire, finch year,, th~sba%}~do&t~%Uonot~n
<br /> commissioners of any county without such unltorm structure , la'
<br />'~[~expiration of the term of any board of health member, to reappoint the member
