Smith, Concord Police Department, on two occasions. First <br /> meeting, reviewed all periodic reports prepared by officer employed under the <br /> school liaison program. Second meeting, conducted a monitoring visit to the <br /> project in preparation for December 5 monitoring by Division of Crime Control. <br /> <br />Prepared a portion of the application of second-year funding for the "Concord <br />Police School Liaison" project. Application draft was forwarded to Concord <br />Police Department for completion by project personnet~ <br /> <br />Met with Bobby Bonds and Terry Black, Cabarrus County Sheriff's Department, <br />to assist on the development of a proposal to develop an evidence collection/ <br />analysis capability. <br /> <br />Visited Cabarrus Memorial Hospital emergency department for facility review. <br />Assisted in disaster training-exercise. <br /> <br />Initiated work on establishing a dispatcher training course. Have verified <br />person to be course coordinator and community college which will sponsor <br />program. <br /> <br />Participated in the Cabarrus Memorial disaster drill in an effort to understand <br />their plans and interface it with a regional disaster plan to be developed. <br /> <br />HU}~N SERVICE ACTIVITIES <br /> <br />P~npower <br /> <br />The final ~Y 1977 evaluation report was presented to the Regional Manpower <br />Advisory Committee and was approved~ Copies of the evaluation were sent to <br />County Managers, and will be made available to other interested county <br />officials upon request. <br /> <br />The Advisory Committee felt that evaluation results should be used in making <br />recommendations in the planning process for next year, and the staff was <br />directed co try to complete the evaluation of ~ 1978 programs early enough <br /> <br /> <br />
