Box 707 <br /> Concord, NC 28025 <br /> <br /> Dear Charles: <br /> <br /> Enclosed please find a sample resolution of endorsement and support <br /> for Centralina's BiB Improvement Program [1203(2) grant application]. <br /> T~e completed resolution should be included as a part of our final <br /> application to DHEW for grant funds to support the EMS Improvement <br /> <br /> Could you please schedule the resolution for consideration by the <br />Board of County Commissioners at their first meeting in February. <br />A member of Centralina's staff will be on hand to explain or answer <br />any questions concerning the application if you so desire. <br /> <br />County this year, so you may wish to omit Item ~3 on the resolution. <br />Item #2 is similar to last year's commitment of in-kind match in <br /> <br />medical services as match. During 1977-1978, Cabarrus County <br />allowed Centralina to use $10,000 of your approximate $200,000 <br />expenditures on E~ as match for the 1203(1) grant application. <br />The more match we cas document, the more competitive our applica- <br />tion will be, and, therefore, I would respectfully request that, if <br />possible, you commit at least 50-75% of your proposad 1979-1980 <br />expenditures as match for the 1203(2) application. <br /> <br />If you can commit $100-150,000 as in-kind match, our application <br />should be in excellent position in the competition. This would in <br />no way require any additional expenditures on behalf of Cabarrus <br />County. <br /> <br />Thank you for your continued support on this and other public <br />safety related matters. I shall look forward to working closely <br />with you next year as we begin work on your proposed Eec. Hopefully, <br /> <br /> <br />
