Memo TO: Each Board o'~ County' January 12, 1979 <br /> Commissioners in North Carolina Page 2 <br /> <br />It is the sentiment of the Study Committee' that most local laws could <br />and should be repealed but that some deal with situations, that would <br />be difficult to handle with regulations Of the North Carolina Wild- <br />life Resources Commission. The committee strongly recommends that <br />local trapping laws be allowed to expire because a comprehensive <br />and sufficiently restrictive statewide trapping act passed by the <br />General Assembly in 1977 would be retained in its entirety by this <br />proposed game law re~ision. The Committee has full confidence in <br />the good judgment of the various boards of county commissioners and <br />the State's lawmakers in sorting these out. <br /> <br /> M.
