Harley, Sign Technician
DATE: January ~1, 1979
SI~JECT: Method to decrease the amount of time on sign repairs.

Possibility for example:

Sign is approximately 15 minutes from the sign shop. Bent blades
but post is alright,

Present situation Proposed system
15 minutes travel to site 15 minutes to travel site

Blades need to be taken off 30 minutes approximately
to bedd or replace, with the punch ordered to
repair bent blades) (get
At least 45 minutes to an hour blades off post). With this
to chisel off old rivets to bend the time is cut down but
or replace blades, bending is time consuming
for one person.
Can bring sirs in and bend blades,
replace, etc.(time - 15 minutes Still need a vice at the
in, 15 minutes back out,' 15 minutes site - Could get rivets out
to install) in 15 minutes instead of
30- bend blade on site.
15 minutes travel time to return.
15 minutes to return.
Total time - 1 hour and !5-~inutes
to 1 hour and 30 minutes. Total time - 45 minutes

Si~n is repaired in half the time

Time for printing of the sign blades is not indicated because
it would be the s.m- in both systems.
