The feeling is that if patients are <br /> given notice and a chance to get used to the idea, the transitio~ will move <br /> smoothly. Publicity samples have been developed and are being used in community <br /> education activities (Exhibi~ 27). Regional and State Family Planning Advisory <br /> Councils are. assisting in the efforts 'to inform patients and others of the <br /> family planning fees requirement. <br /> <br /> The Regional Office has assisted North Carolina in obtaining technical <br /> assistance under the Federal contract with Boone-Young and Associates. Family <br /> Planning Branch staff will review statistics from the pilot project counties <br /> ~d compare this with statewide activity for the same period and with service <br /> statistics for the pilot projects as compared to data collected one year ago. <br /> A more detailed evaluation is planned.
