ChandJ. er, Jr./Director of Planning/ <br /> <br />RE: Erosion of Backslopes on Marshall Drive <br /> <br />DATE: August 6, 1979 <br /> <br />In response to a ].etter sent to the Chairman of the-County <br />Commissioners from Mrs. Inez Harris whose property abutts the <br />Jackson Heights Subdivision, being developed by Little, Austin <br />& Carpenter, I report the following: <br /> <br />A telephone call and a letter was sent to Mr. David Austin ad- <br />vising him of an srosion oroblem created by the grading of the <br />backslopes of Marshall Dr~ve. ¥~. Austin was advised that the <br />backslopes and ditch sections would have to be stabalized and <br />seeded in accord with the requirements of th~ North Carolina <br />State Sedementation Control Office. Staff inspection of the <br />site indicated that the banks adjacent to Mrs. Harris' property <br />were cut to within one (1) to two (2) feet of the Harris garage <br />were sloped, seeded and mulched with straw and tar to yeild an <br />estimated ninety-five (95%) percent stand of grass.
