AC~EMEN~ TO PROVIDE <br /> <br /> PROFESSIONA~ ACCOUNTING SERVICE5 <br /> <br /> TO CABARRUS COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, entered into this day of , 19 <br />and effective immediatelg by and between IDavid M. Grlffith and Associates, Ltd. <br />{hereinafter called the .Consultant') and the County of ._Cabarrus , <br />State of North Carolina {hereinafter called the 'County"), WITNESSETH T~AT: <br /> WHEREAS, the Countp has l~rograms which it o~rates with Federal <br />funding, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Countp supports these programs with support ser- <br />vices pa~d from County appropriated funds, and <br /> WBERF~-5, the Federal government and the state will pay a fair <br />share of these costs if supported bp an approved cost allocation plan, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Consultant is staffed with ~rsonnel ~owledge- <br />able and ex~rieneed i~ the requirements of developing and negotiating <br />much goverr~ental cost allocation plans, and <br /> WHEREAI, the Count~ desires to engage the Consultant to assist <br />in developing a plan which conforms to Federal requirements and will be <br />approved by their representatives <br /> NOW THEREFORE, the parties hereto mutually agree as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. Emuloument of Consultan=. The Count~ agrees to engage the Consul- <br />rant and the Consultant hereby agrees to perform the following services. <br /> <br /> 2. Scoue of Services. The Consultant shall do, perform and carry <br />ou[ in ~ good and professional manner the following services: <br /> <br /> A. 1)evelopment of a central services cos5 allocation plan which <br /> identifies the various costs incurred by the Countp to support <br /> and administer Federal programs. This plan will contain a de- <br /> termination of the allowable costs of providing each supporting <br /> seruice such as purchasing~ legal counsel, disbursement lmrO- <br /> cessing ~ etc. <br /> <br /> B. Negotiation of the completed cost allocation pla~ with the <br /> representatives of the state or the Federal government, which- <br /> ever is applicable. <br /> <br /> · C. Assistance in preparing the initial claims for recover~ of funds due the Count~. <br /> <br /> · D. Prepare indirect cost proposal for Social Services and CETA. <br /> Additionally, prepare indirect cost rates for EBA and HUD if <br /> <br /> <br />
