Box 707 <br />Concord, North Carolina 28025 <br /> <br />Dear Mr. McGinnis: <br /> <br />In reference to your letter of October 10, 1979, requesting the North <br />Carolina Local Government Commissio~ to investigate the rates charged <br />Parkwood Sanitary District for the purchase of water and sewer by the Board <br />of Light and Water Co~mmissioners of the City of Concord, I see no way that <br />we can help in this matter. The Local Government Commission is not an <br />investigative agency and the statute does not give us the authority to <br />intervene in rate situations. I know of no State agency that has such <br />authority. <br /> <br />I suggest that the Board from Parkwood Sanitary District sit down with the <br />Light and Water Commissioners and try to resolve the problem. <br /> <br /> Sincerely yours, <br /> <br /> J.
