Completed rehabil±~ation <br /> ~f 44 homes, demolftion of 14 homes and Clearance of 14 lots. <br /> Total grant amount- $335,000. <br /> <br /> DeVeloped and received approval of t~e "Cabarrus County Overall <br /> Economic Developm~nt'Plan,~ whichresulted in the county receiving <br /> "Economic Redev~10 ment ' <br /> p Area desmgnation. <br /> <br /> Preparation.of a Community Development Block grant pre-application <br /> to the Department of Housing and Urban Development for the Sides- <br /> town and/Ar shankletown area <br /> <br /> Preparation and approval of a "Citizen Participation Plan" (as <br /> per HUD requirements). This plan must show how citizens can <br /> become involved in the housing program and be available for <br /> dispersal <br /> <br />Preparation and development of the "Cabarrus County Housing <br />Analysis Plan". This is part of the~HUD 701 planning grant <br />received by the County in July, 1977. <br /> <br />Preparation and development of the "Cabarrus County Land Develop- <br />ment Plan". This is part of the HUD 701 planning grant received <br />by the County in July, 1977 <br /> <br />Operation Of the E~ergency Energy Conservation Program. This <br />$20,000 winterization program is to provide weatherization to <br />the homes of low~inc~ome persons. Components'of the program will <br />include: weatherstripping, storm windows, storm doors, and in- <br />sulation. Thirty percenn of the funds may be used for fuel crisis <br />intervention. <br /> <br />Representative to the Regional Housing Advisory Committee and the <br />Regional Planning Advisory Committee at Centralina Council of <br />Governments. <br /> <br />Recommended the formulation of the Housing Advisory Committee <br />to the Housing Authority. <br /> <br /> <br />
