These should~o~ me~ely reinforce present trends. <br />but should represent the desires of the citizens of the County <br />on bow it should develop in' bile future. <br /> <br /> Cabarrus County has undergone strong-rapid growth in <br />recent years, and should experience the'continuance of fihis <br />trend throughout each segment of. the county.' While there <br />are many positive aspects to this oehurance, the demands' that <br />are created on public facilities and Services of the County <br />must be considered. <br /> <br /> The goals will identify the basic directions in which <br /> <br />the citizensaof the County desire it to'grow. Through such <br />a statement, a concensus of future3development policy will <br />be obtained and a gui~e, for direction, achieved. Because <br />they provide an indication of broad objectives and stops to <br />realize them, a focus for the formation of the plan is <br />Obtained.
