The land is situated directly in front of the school and possible <br /> commercial development of the land would have an adverse effect on <br /> the:school environment. <br /> 2.Parcel No. 1, which consists of tt~o lots, has greater depth and is <br /> more directly situated in front of the school. <br /> 3. Parcel No. 2 bas little'depth, and ~e believe the price of $35,000 <br /> asked by tile owner is excessive; therefore, we are unable to <br /> recommend the purchase of Parcel No. 2. <br /> 4. Land used for road fr~ntag~ has a greater value than land offered <br /> by the acre. <br /> <br /> The Board believes that it is imperative that necessary steps be taken to <br />acquire Parcel No. 1, This parcel has 350 feet of road footage and is approxi- <br />mately 150 feet deep. At their meeting on February 7~ 1978, rte Board Voted <br />unanimously to request tile superintendent tO seek a price for Parcel No. 1 and <br />to request the County Commissioners to appropriate necessary funds for the <br />purchase <br /> <br /> At this time, I ~ish to report that the owners of this property, after <br />careful deliberation and negotiation, have set a price of $15,000 for Parcel <br />No. i.
