NORTH CAROLINA LA~ ~::~FORCEMENT COUNTY ASSISTANCE CONTRACT This contract, made and entered into this __ day of , 19 , by and between (hereinafter re~erred to as the Requesting Agency), and (hereinafter referred to as the Assisting Agency), WITNESSETH: This contract iB entered into between the Requesting Agency and the Assisting Agency, pursuant to the provisions of G.S. §160- 288, which allows mutual assistance and cooperation between law enforcement agencies. Both parties ~cknowledge mutual benefit in the form of en- hanced law enforcement Capabilities and efficiency within the jurisdictions of both agencies which inures to the benefit of both. The terms and conditions of this contract are as follows: First: The Assisting Agency covenants and agrees to temporarily provide assistance to the Requesting Agency an enforcing the laws ~f the State of North Carolina- This assistance shall include: A. Allowing law enforcement officers of the Assisting Agency to work temporarily with law enforcement officers of the Requesting Agency; B. Temporary lending of equipment; C. Temporary lending of supplies. Second: This contract shall remain in effect for a period of , conunencing on , 19 , and ending on , 19 ~ Third: While on duty with the Requesting Agency, a law enforce- ment officer provided by the Assisting Agency (hereinafter refer- red to as a Loaned Officer) shall have the same jurisdiction, powers, rights, privileges, and immunities as the officers of the Requesting Agency in addition to those which he normally possesses. Fourth: While on duty with the Requesting Agency, a Loaned Officer shall be subject to the lawful operational come, ands of his superior law enforcement officers in the Requesting Agency. The Loaned Officer's superior officers in the Requesting Agency shall b~ Sole~ ~esponsible for the direction and guidance of the Loaned
