l~ursuant lo Norih Caroliaa General Statule 153 (a) - 170 and <br /> related statues, BE IT ORDAINED by the Board o{ Commissioners.of <br /> Cabarrus County, .North Carolina, lhat lhe fo]lowing pa~king ordiaance be <br /> and lhe same is hereby adopted: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1. DEPICTIONS. <br /> <br /> For lhe p~rpose of ibis ordinance the following definitions shall <br /> <br /> apply: <br /> <br /> Vehicle: Every device in, upon, or by which any person o~ ..-. <br /> property is or may be [ransporied or drawu upon a street or highway~ <br /> <br /> Parkin~ The slopping or standing of a vehicle, whether occupied <br /> or not, Otherwise thaa temporarily for the parpose of aad while actually <br /> engaged in loading or unloading. <br /> <br /> Parking Space: A space sufficient in size to accomodaie a standard <br /> automobile, wlich space is designated by appropriate liaes and appropriate <br /> markings or signs. <br /> <br /> Person: Any person, fir~,associalion, or corporaiion. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2. <br /> <br /> This ordinaace shall apply lo lhe Counly-owned property located in <br /> lhe block bounded by Unioa Slreet, Soulh, R.ieans Avenue, Souiheasl, C~urch <br /> Streel, Southeast, aad Corban Avenue, Souiheast. Parking any vehicle on <br /> said Counly properly shall be ua]awful unless ii is parked as permitted by <br /> <br /> lhe provisions of i}~s ordinance. <br /> SECTION 3. <br /> <br /> Parkin~ shall be permilled on the Counly proneriy hereinbefore <br />defined only as follows: <br /> <br /> A. ~ublic Parking~ Twenly (20) par~ag spaces are hereby desig- <br />nated as public parking spaces.
