Dan Ca,Tenter of Csarlotte is inst]~c%ing the 20 team <br /> m 6mb ers. <br /> <br /> The fire inspector mede 14 inspections of nursing hG~es, rest hcmen, <br />foster homes.and public buildings during the month of ~.~ay, 1977. Also, <br />a fire prevention program v~as presented %o the fourth gredes at all the <br />schools in Cabar~as County. <br /> <br /> A fire safety program for the hous~,~ife was presented %o the Lioness <br />Club of Mt. Pleasant on Nonday, Nay 16, 1977. <br /> <br /> The Office of Emergency Se~,ices presented %~.~o progr~s on Civil <br />Preparedness, one %o the senior class of nurses at the Cabarets School of <br />Nursing and one to the fifth grade classes'at Aycock Elenenta~y School. <br />~,~rs. Gerri Nosh, secretary for %be office gave the progr~ns. <br /> <br />Safe~v Sugsestion: Gasoline is a ve]~ hazardous material and should be <br />treeted with care and respect. By follo.':ing same simple precautions, <br />gasoline can be reasonably safe. <br /> (1) Use only approved safety cans to store gasoline. Never plastic <br /> or glass. <br /> (2) Put out cigarettes and cigars before handling gas. <br /> (3) Do not attempt to 'refuel a hot engine.
