CAPITAL OUTLAY BUDGET <br /> 1977-78 <br /> <br /> The Capital Out]ay Budget for 3.977-78 reflects the anticipated use of any <br /> revenue sharing fuuds that may be available to the school system. These budget <br /> items are arranged in priority order. Listed below are our a6ticipated use of <br /> revenue sharing funds for 1977-78: <br /> <br /> PROJECT 1 - we will be required to b!~y four regular buses at an approximate cost <br /> of $13,000 each for a total ~xpendJture of $52,000 and one 20 <br /> passenger van for tbe handicapped children at Long School at an <br /> estimated cost of $13,800. Total Cost $65,800 <br /> <br />PROJECT 2 - To replage all the old wooden windows in Hartsell School with new <br /> aluminum windows. Completion of this project would not only improve <br /> the appearance and the life of this building but would result mn a <br /> substantial saviog mn fuel. The cost of this pro~ect would be $51,300. <br /> In addition--replacement of existing gym windows $8,000. <br /> Total Cost $59,300 <br /> <br />PROJECT 3 - Would be to pave and fence-in two tennis courts at Northwest Cabarrus. <br /> Total Cost $15,200 <br /> <br />PROJECT 4 - Would be to replace the wooden windows in the old A. T. Allen School <br /> building with the i~ew alum{hum type windows. Total Cost $12,500 <br /> <br />PROJECT 5 - Would be to reflue boiler next to gym at Harrisburg for $2,200 and <br /> replace old boiler at Hartsell School for $7,300. Total Cost $9,500 <br /> <br />PROJECT 6 - Would be for new bathroom partitions in 6 restrooms. Total Cost $9,000 <br /> <br />PROJECT 7 - Would be to replace two pickup trucks for maintenance department. <br /> Total Cost $8~070 ' <br /> <br />PROJECT 8 - Would be for installation of an intercom system at Winecoff--this ms a <br /> high priority. This has been recommended by civil preparedness <br /> officials for emergency purposes. Total Cost S7,889.71 <br /> <br />PROJECT 9 - Would be to move existing white building from Harrisburg to Central <br /> Cabarrus to relieve crowed conditions. Price includes site preparation, <br /> walks, paving, underpenning, and two air conditioners. Total <br /> Cost $7,500 <br /> <br />PROJECT 10 - Would be to pave and line drive and parking area ~n front of Mt~ <br /> Pleasant Elementary School. Total Cost $5,000 <br /> <br />PROJECT 11 - For student lockers at Mt~ Pleasant Middle School. Total Cost $4,200 <br /> <br />PROJECT 12 ~ To by-pass existing water tank at Harrisburg with new meter and uew <br /> lines to to~ water source. Total Cost $&,O00 <br /> <br /> <br />
