AGREEMENT FOR REIMgUI:GEMENT PER DIEM COSTS OF MAINTENANCE OF PERSONS [N LOCAL CONFINEMENT FACILITIES STATE OF NORTH CAR(X. INA County of Cabarrus It is 5ereby agreed by and between the North Carolina Department of Correction and the County/ Gq'r, fXof Cabarrus that the North Carolina Department of Correction shall pay, and the County/City of Cabarrus __ shall accept the sum of $ 8.00 per day, per inmate, as the per diem cost of providing feed, clothing, personal items supervision and necessary medical services to those male misdemeanants committed to the custody of the County/City of Cabarrus serving sentences of 31 to 180 days. The County/City of Cabarru$ shall on such form as the Department of Correction shall prescribe, presen( a monthly statement of the Der diem expense of maintaining all such persons received serving sentences of 31 to 180 days (together with a statement of any extraordinary medi- cai expenses incurred in the maintenance of such persons) to the North Carolina Department el Correction, to the attention of the Assistant Secretary for Fiscal Affairs. 840 West Morgan Street, Raleigh, North CarD- line 27603. Except in the case of an emergency, the Sheriff/Chief of Police of_ Cabarrus Countv_ shall contact the North Carolina Department of Correction for express authority prior to incurring extraordiuar¥ medical expenses in the course of maintaining persons for whom per diem expenses are to be paid by the North Carolina Department el Correction.
