PROCEDURE FOR CONDUCTING ELECTION <br /> OF OFFICERS AT COUNTY COMMISSIONERS~' MEETING <br /> <br /> Since the Chairman has asked that I preside, I will call the meeting <br />to order. <br /> <br /> The first order of business is the election of a Chairman of lhe Board <br />for the next year. Are lhere any nominations? (ii is not necessary lhat a nomi- <br />nation be seconded. It is suggested that after one nomination, you ask, "Are <br />there any other ~]ominations?" and if there are more than one nomination, ask <br />if there are any more nominations. If there are no further nominations made, <br />then announce thai you will vote on the nominees taking the person nominated <br />last first and [hen the person nominated first. You should say "So many as <br />favor the nomination of ikOif", or Miss X, please raise your hands". After tile <br />first vote, then ask "So many as favor lhe election of Mr. or Miss Y please raise <br /> <br />your hands'.' Then announce the results of the vote. <br /> <br /> Say thai the second order of business is the election of a Vice Chairman <br />and go through the same procedure. <br /> <br /> Then turn the meeting over to the Chairman. <br /> <br /> <br />
