SUPERINTENDENT AUgUSt 11, 1976

Mr. Charles bicGinnis, Manager --
Cabarrus County
-- Concord, North Carolina 28025

Dear Charles:

This letter is in response to our telephone conversation concerning
Vocational Rehabilitation. As you'can tell from the figures listed
below the Concord City Schools have had to cover financial differences
in the program for the past two years. The expense, appropriations,
and differences are as follows:

1974-1975
.'Expenditures $10,248.56
County Appropriation . '10~000.00
Differehce $ 248.56

1975-1976
Expenditures $11,275.66
County Appropriation 10,000.00
Difference $ 1,275.66 .
The request for this year (1976-1977) is $12,000.00. I hope the ex-
pense does not go over $12,000.00 because as you can see the program
begins to cut into other appropriations.

I have copies of the Vocational Rehabilitatio~ contract and the budget
which includes the 75% ~f the program which is federally funded and
will make them available to you if you so desire.

Your attention to this matter will be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

W. M. IRVIN
Superintendent

'ch
