CABARRUS MAPTIST ASSOCIATION RESOLUTION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, ordinances have been enacted throughout our State that <br /> withstood court tests pertaining to the operation of massage <br /> parlors; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, neighboring counties have implemented legislation to <br /> place restrictions and regulations on the operation of massage <br /> parlors; <br /> <br />~{HEREA$, Cabarrus County now faces the possibility of more such <br /> establishments locating in our area because of the restrictions <br /> ~n neighboring counties; <br /> <br />WNEREAS, news accounts have described the unwholesome and immoral <br /> <br /> activities that are often associated with such establishments; <br />~HEREAS: it is far better to deal wlth'a potential problem before <br /> <br /> drastic measures have to be taken; <br /> <br />BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED, that the Cabarrus Baptist Association <br /> meeting in its ~lst annual session on October 25: 1976, at the <br /> Wit-Mar Park Baptist Church, Concord, North Carolina, hereby <br /> calls upon the Cabarrus Board of Commissioners to enact <br /> appropriate legislation that will place restrictions, regula- <br /> tlons, and supervision of.massage parlors that are currently <br /> located in the county or those hereafter, <br /> <br /> <br />
