The Board of County ommmssmoners met this 2nd day of December /9' <br /> <br />with the following members present: W A Brown, ~ha~rman, J Lee White, <br /> <br />C ~i Crowell, W M ~orrison and 0 E Scarboro. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by J Lee White and seconded by 0 E Scarboro that <br /> <br />W A Brown be made Chairman.of the Board and purchasing Agent for Cabarru <br /> <br />County. <br /> <br /> Joh~ // Beget, Register of Deeds, elect, presented his bond which <br /> <br />was approved by the Board and ordered recorded. ~otion was made by W <br />Morrison and seconded by 0 E Scarboro that his bond be accepted. He <br />then rooks nd subscribed to the Oath of Office as required by law. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by J Lee White and seconded by W M Morrison that <br /> <br />Alonzo Hayes be exempt from the payment of poll tax. <br /> <br /> Motion t~as made by ¥I' M Morrison and sec~d by C M Cr~ell that <br /> <br />Caswell Trai~l~g school be given ~en ~dollar~. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by J Lee ~hite and seconded by $ E Scarboro t~mt <br /> <br />State Highway and =ublic Works Commission take over and maintain the <br />following roads: Extension of "A" Street in Kannapolis, connecting <br />with Enochville and Landis Road, also First Street le~ding to Highway <br />No. 29A. <br /> <br /> ~otion was made by J Lee White and seconded by W $ Morrison that <br /> <br />D Ray ~AcEachern be made Clerk to County Recorders Court, and that he <br /> <br />s~all receive compensation as provided on ~ge ~29 of Minute Book ~ll. <br /> <br /> ~otion was made by 0 E Scarboro and seconded by W M ~orrison that <br /> <br />Ernest R Alexander by appointed as Prosecutor of Caharrus County Cou.~t, <br /> <br />and perform the duties set forth in Resolution on page A28 of M~nute <br /> <br /> ~otion was made by W M Morrison and seconded by 0 E Scarboro that <br /> <br />Hartsell & H~rtseI1 be a~pointed attorney for Cabarrus County for two <br /> <br />ye ars o <br /> <br /> ~/otion was made by J Lee ¥~hite and Seconded by ¥i M ~or~ison that <br /> <br />County Board.of Health be requested to approve the adoption of plumbing <br /> <br />and inspection code as drawn up by Health Department. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by C M Crowell and seconded by W M Morrison that <br /> <br />R E Newell be appointed County Home Custodian for two years. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by J Lee White and seconded by W M Morrison tint <br /> <br />application be made to Federal Surplus Relief Corporation to make a <br /> <br />stamp plan available for Cabarrus County. <br /> <br /> D Ray MeEachern Clerk of the Superior Court of Cabarrus County <br /> <br />present, ted his annual report to the Board and on ~tion by 0 E Scar~O~o <br /> <br />and seconded by C M Crowell that C N Field, J Lee ~hite 'be appointed as <br />a committee to audit the settlement of the C S C and upon the approval <br />of this Committee the same ,is hereby a~cepted and o~-dered published and <br />recorded. <br /> <br /> <br />
