The Board of County Commissioners met this ~rd day of ~rch, 1941 with the following members present~ W A Brown. Chariman, C M Crowell, J Lee White, W M Morrison and 0 E Scarbor~. Motion was made by 0 E Scarboro and seconded by C M Crowell that L B Long be exemp~ from ,Poll Tax for life on account of bodily infirma- ~otion was made by C ~,~ Crowell and seconded by 0 E Scarboro that Chrittenton Home of Charlotte be given $100.00. Motion was made by 0 E Scarbor0 and seconded by C M Crowell. that State Highway and Public Works Commission/be requested to tar and gravel South Juniper Street Extension in Kannapolis, N. C. Motion was made by W M Morrison a~d seconded by C M Cr~ell that Stat, Highway and Public Works Commission be requested to ~ ~ tar and gravel read leading from Mecklenburg County line to Hi&hwqy 27 by Bethel Church. Motion was made by W '~{ Morrison and seconded by C M Crowell that State Highway and Public Works Commission bake over and maintain road in vicinity of Sunderland Hall, South of Brown Mill. Motion was made by J Lee White and seconded by 0 E Scarboro~ that State Highway and Public Works Co~nission be requested to take over and maintain Extension of South Spring Street near the City of Concord.
