The Board of Commissioners fcrthe County of Cabarrus, North C~o- <br /> <br />lina, met in regular session at the CourthoUSe in Concord, North Caro- <br />lina, the regular place of meting, at 10 o'clock A. M. on May 4, 1942. <br />PreSent: J Lee ~hite, Temporary Chairman, 0 E Scarboro, W. M Morrison and <br />C M Crowell. <br /> <br />Abs~nt~ W A Brown, Cha~r-~_u <br /> <br /> O~ssioners Morrison introduced the follo~ng order, which was <br /> <br />reads <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED and ordered by the Board of Ccamissioners of Cabar- <br /> <br />rue County that the bond order introduced by this Board on September 2, <br />1941, entitle ~Order Authorizing $60,.000.00 Bonds for School Buildings <br />and lquipment" be and the s.~ne is hereby repealed. <br /> <br /> Be it farther resolved that this order shall be in force frc~ and <br /> <br />after its passage. <br /> <br /> Thereupon, upon motion of Commissioner Morri son, seconded by Com- <br /> <br />missioner Crowell a~ carried, the forego ng order was passed by the fol[- <br /> <br />owing vote: <br /> <br />Ayes~ J Lee White, C M Crowell, W M M~rrison and O E Scarboro <br /> <br />Noess None <br /> <br /> Co~_ssioner O M Crow~ell introduced the following order authorizing <br /> <br />County bonds, which ~as reads <br /> <br /> Order authorizing $13,000. School Building Bonds. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of Education of Cabarrus County has certified to <br /> <br />this Board a resolution passed by said Board of Education on <br />showing that it is necessary in order to m~i_ ntain, the constitutional six <br />months! school term in Cabarrus County to erect a vocational building <br />at the J W Cannon High School at Xannapolis; and <br /> <br /> ~W~tEAS, said resolution represents that no funds are available and <br /> <br />no provision has been made by local tax or otherwise by which such butl~ <br />lng can be proeided and requests this Boardto authorize and issue County <br />Bonds in order to secure funds therefore; and <br /> <br /> WH~2LEAS, the Board of Commissioners has Carefully examined the fact~ <br /> <br />and has determined and hereby finds as a fact that it has become the du~ <br />of said Board of Commissioners, acting as a administrative agent of the <br />State in providing a State system of public schools, to order the issuaz <br />of a sufficient amount of County bonds to previde such school b~ilding <br />order to maintain the constitutional six months' school term; n~, there: rare, <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDERED AND BESOLVED by the Board of C~eioners for the <br /> <br />county of Cabarrns t <br /> <br /> 1. That bonds of Cabarrus County be issued pursuant to the County <br /> <br />Finance Act, as ~_-?_nded, in an amount not exceeding $13,000. for the <br />purpose of erecting a vocational building at the J W Cannon High School <br />at Kannapolis in Order to maintain the constitutional six months' school <br /> <br /> <br />
