The Board of Commissioners fcrthe County of Cabarrus, North C~o- lina, met in regular session at the CourthoUSe in Concord, North Caro- lina, the regular place of meting, at 10 o'clock A. M. on May 4, 1942. PreSent: J Lee ~hite, Temporary Chairman, 0 E Scarboro, W. M Morrison and C M Crowell. Abs~nt~ W A Brown, Cha~r-~_u O~ssioners Morrison introduced the follo~ng order, which was reads BE IT RESOLVED and ordered by the Board of Ccamissioners of Cabar- rue County that the bond order introduced by this Board on September 2, 1941, entitle ~Order Authorizing $60,.000.00 Bonds for School Buildings and lquipment" be and the s.~ne is hereby repealed. Be it farther resolved that this order shall be in force frc~ and after its passage. Thereupon, upon motion of Commissioner Morri son, seconded by Com- missioner Crowell a~ carried, the forego ng order was passed by the fol[- owing vote: Ayes~ J Lee White, C M Crowell, W M M~rrison and O E Scarboro Noess None Co~_ssioner O M Crow~ell introduced the following order authorizing County bonds, which ~as reads Order authorizing $13,000. School Building Bonds. WHEREAS, the Board of Education of Cabarrus County has certified to this Board a resolution passed by said Board of Education on showing that it is necessary in order to m~i_ ntain, the constitutional six months! school term in Cabarrus County to erect a vocational building at the J W Cannon High School at Xannapolis; and ~W~tEAS, said resolution represents that no funds are available and no provision has been made by local tax or otherwise by which such butl~ lng can be proeided and requests this Boardto authorize and issue County Bonds in order to secure funds therefore; and WH~2LEAS, the Board of Commissioners has Carefully examined the fact~ and has determined and hereby finds as a fact that it has become the du~ of said Board of Commissioners, acting as a administrative agent of the State in providing a State system of public schools, to order the issuaz of a sufficient amount of County bonds to previde such school b~ilding order to maintain the constitutional six months' school term; n~, there: rare, BE IT ORDERED AND BESOLVED by the Board of C~eioners for the county of Cabarrns t 1.
