The Board of County Commissioners held their regular meeting on <br /> <br /> the 1st of February, it being the first Monds~v of the month, with the <br /> <br /> following present: J. Lee White, Chairman, W. M.. Morrison, C. M. <br /> <br /> Crowell, Ray W. Cline and Homer L. Fink. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by W. M. Morrison andssconded by H. L. Fink ~.' '~ <br /> <br /> requesting the State Highway and Public Works Commission to erec~ signs <br /> <br /> as all county schools. <br /> <br /> Motion made by Ray W. ~Cline and seconded by H. L. Fink that the <br /> <br /> salary of Miss Lena Moose be supplemented $10.00 per month, as of <br /> <br /> Jan. 1, 1943. <br /> <br /> Motion made by W. M. Morrison and ssecmmded by H. L. Fink that <br /> tax listing for Cabarrus County be extended thru Feb. 1~o1943. <br /> Motion made by W. M. Morrison and seconded by C. M. Crowell that <br /> C. N. Field's salary be raised to $3,600.00, and Mrs. Sudella White,s <br /> salary be raised $10.O0 per month, both as of Jan. 1, 1943. <br /> Notion made by W. M. Morrison a nd seconded by C. M. Crowell that <br /> contract between Cabarrus County and Concord Public Library, Inc., be <br /> approved, and made a part of minutes. <br /> "THIS AGREEMENT, Made and entered into this the 1st day of Februa~ <br /> 1943, by and between the Concord Public Library, Inc., party of the <br /> first part, and the Board of Commissioners of the County of Cabarrus, <br /> . North Carolina, party of the second part, <br /> "WITNESSETH: That the party of the first part agrees during the <br /> term of this contract to make the Concord Public Library, Inc., and it~ <br /> books and contents free to all residents of the County of Cabarrus to <br />F the same extent as if they were residents'of the City of Concord; to <br /> supply by bookmobile or other delivery any book in the library devoted <br /> to county use to any resident of said County; to establish branches, <br /> stations or traveling libraries upon request, in accordance with con- <br /> ~ ditions mutually agreed to, in as many places as is possible with the <br /> funds available, provided that there is not a free public library al- <br /> ready established in that place, in which case any help available from <br /> .~ the party of the first part will be given the library already establis~- <br /> . ~>;,~ ed; and to make a detailed statement of the services rendered to the <br /> ~ ....
